Update: Applications closed 25 November 2020
The Minister for Fishing and Boating is currently seeking expressions of interest from individuals who wish to be considered for the Ministerial Boating Round Table.
The Round Table will be established to co-design the Victorian Recreational Boating Strategy. If you would like to be considered, we would encourage you to complete the Expression of Interest form.
Victorian Recreational Boating Strategy
The Government knows boaters want better facilities and access, less congestion, better facility management, and transparency of funding used for facilities.
A Victorian first, the Victorian Recreational Boating Strategy will address long-standing issues in the sector and underpin prioritisation of future boating investment.
The Government has delivered on its commitment to establish the Better Boating Fund and will return every dollar of marine licensing and boat registration fees to improving boating safety and facilities.
The Strategy will inform how the Fund will be allocated. And that’s why the Government wants to work closely with the boating community to understand what they believe are the recreational boating priorities for Victoria.
The Minister is establishing the Round Table of representatives from across the boating sector to help develop the Strategy.
The broader boating community will also get to have their say, with public consultations to be held during the strategy development process.
