Safe Transport Victoria returns to the Australian Grand Prix this year to show passengers how to Get on board with Kindness and create a safer CPV industry.

ST Vic’s new interactive marquee – called The Ultimate Passenger Pitstop – will be on show at the Innovation Hub, offering patrons the chance to win prizes and learn more about the commercial passenger vehicle (CPV) industry.

The purpose of the marquee is to encourage passengers to treat CPV drivers with kindness and prevent poor passenger behaviour experienced by some drivers.

Highlights of the Get On Board With Kindness Pitstop include:

  • A trivia quiz to test participant’s knowledge of the CPV and bus industries
  • A glass “money booth” game, in which participants go into a glass booth and are challenged to catch swirling pieces of paper containing safety messaging – giving them a chance to go into the draw to win a prize
  • An AI-driven Compliments Fuel Tank machine, which after hearing a patron’s anecdote or praise for a driver about past CPV and bus rides, gives a positivity rating of the compliment to encourage patrons to share positive stories
  • Special seating areas that mimic bus stops, allowing patrons a chance to take a short break.

The Safe Transport Victoria marquee will be at Albert Park throughout the four days of the Australian Grand Prix. If you’re attending, come and visit us at the Innovation Hub, behind the Senna Grandstand.
