Mariners are advised that a large trawl net has been abandoned and is adrift in approximate position 38°29.656’ S, 144°59.523’E, approximately 0.5NM off the coast drifting in an easterly direction in about 15 metres of water in the last reported location.

The net is visible on the surface approximately 30ft2 with net hanging under the water.

Mariners are requested to report any sightings, including a GPS position to Marine Radio Victoria on VHF Ch16 and to navigate with caution in the vicinity.
