What is a notifiable incident?

A notifiable incident is an incident meeting specific legislative criteria that duty holders — such as bus operators, CPV operators, and vessel owners or masters — are legally required to report to Safe Transport Victoria within a defined timeframe. This is different from a passenger complaint or report. If you are a member of the public reporting something that happened during your trip, please make your report or complaint here.

The remaining categories are for duty holders meeting their reporting obligations.

If you are involved in or witness an emergency, always call triple zero (000).
